Our story
A Lifelong Passion for Trees
Big Timber Tree Service LLC started from a lifelong passion of founder Denny Van Istendal. As a child, Denny became fascinated with trees after spending time at his grandfather’s tree farm in Marlton, NJ. From a young age, Denny was brought in to help around the tree farm.
His grandfather, who was a dentist, supported his grandson’s keenness for the family business and allowed him to borrow equipment to run his own tree removal business while still in high school.
Denny later went on to graduate from Western Maryland College Pre Med, but never lost his love for the outdoors. After graduation, Denny made the decision to follow his passion and start his own tree business. This is when Big Timber Tree Service LLC began.

The Reviews Speak for Themselves

When you have a lifelong passion and knowledge for what you do, it shows in your work.
That’s why Big Timber Tree Service LLC has been South Jersey’s go-to for premium tree and stump removal services for over two decades.
